Kite Lab
Dedicated to quantifying the complexities of snowkite technology, Kite Lab will review, test, and measure snowkite products with innovative techniques to provide a better tool for snowkiters to understand the products they use and want. Our team is comprised of beginning through professional kiters, men and women, and engineers. Our team is committed to providing a neutral, unbiased look into the products and equipment of snowkiting and will provide a fair, even review of all products. All Kite Lab reviews will be compiled and presented to Kite Lab submitters for preview and response before being published. Ultimately, the Kite Lab team’s goal is to constantly help improve and expand the products and technology available for snowkiting.
Kite Lab will be a regular feature in both the magazine and online.
Submission Requirements:
Snowkiting equipment should be submitted to the Kite Lab team by first contacting Dave Grossman and requesting a Kite Lab submission.
Submission Guidelines:
Please submit a final, shipping product only. It is important that our team has the actual product that a customer can purchase. Please note that robust testing can be a destructive process. You will not receive the testing product back! In addition to putting your product through a grueling series of real life tests, we will also simulate extreme conditions and the complete lifespan of a product. Frequently our team pushes products to partial or total failure to better understand the safety margins engineered into a product and how that affects snowkiters in their typical use of your product.
Product Update
This regular service will provide breaking news and updates about product launches throughout the year and after the release of each Gear Guide. Submissions for inclusion in Product Update can be sent to James Brown. Product updates will be published online only.
